SOFT CET Exam 2026: Registration (Open), Dates, Eligibility, Pattern, Syllabus, Preparation

The authorities will prescribe certain conditions and requirements that every aspirant need to meet. MKSSS's School of Fashion Technology released the application form for SOFT CET 2025 phase 2 on March 1. To apply for the SOFT CET 2025, candidates will have to fill out and submit the online application form before the deadline which is May 15. Only those candidates who fill SOFT CET 2025 registration form before the deadline will be allowed to appear for the entrance exam. 

Documents Required for SOFT CET Registration 2025

Every candidate who applies for SOFT CET 2025 should keep the following documents with their application:

• 10th-grade mark sheet (mandatory for all programmes)
• Address Verification (mandatory for all programmes)
• Candidates must submit a scanned copy of their Class 12th Result for the UG course and a copy of their 12th and Graduation mark sheet for the PG course.

Steps to fill SOFT CET application form 2025

Applicants who wish to take the SOFT CET 2025 should complete the application form which will be available on the official website.

• Visit School of Fashion Technology (SOFT) website and click on the Registration Link.
• Candidates must register with a valid email address or mobile phone number and carefully fill out all the information requested on the application form.
• Upload all required information in JPEG format, and ensure the uploaded photograph is clear.
• Once the application form has been completed, click the "submit" button.
• Keep a printout of the application form for future reference.

Aspirants who are going to appear for the SOFT CET 2025 should check the exam pattern beforehand. With the help of SOFT CET exam pattern 2025, candidates can know details such as the duration of the paper, types of questions asked, mode and much more. 

• Mode: The SOFT CET 2025 will be held online as well as offline mode.

• Question Type: The Entrance Exam will include a General Ability Test, a Studio Test, Group Discussions, and a Personal Interview. All candidates are required to take all three tests.

• Number of Questions: Online Test - 60 Marks, Studio Test / Group Discussion 140 Marks, and Personal Interview  (Portfolio + Statement of Purpose)- 50 Marks from the syllabus covered in the qualifying exam. 

• Marking Scheme: Candidates will receive one mark for each correct answer, with no negative marking for incorrect answers. As a result, candidates are advised to attempt all questions and not leave any unanswered.

• Medium: The language of the question paper of the SOFT CET 2025 will be English.

SOFT CET Paper Pattern

Candidates must be familiar with the syllabus and attempt to solve all previous year's question papers or SOFT CET sample papers to understand the pattern of questions asked. The Question Papers can be found on SOFT's official website.

Participants should be capable of using their time wisely so they do not become exhausted while studying. A proper schedule must be created and followed.

It's vital that learners take enough breaks while studying to keep their minds calm and composed. Yoga can also be used to manage stress. Consume a well-balanced diet as well.

Aspirants who complete the registration process before the deadline will be issued hall tickets. On the day of the examination, candidates have to carry their admit card, a passport-sized photo, and a valid ID. • Visit the official website at soft.ac.in.
• Click on the 'download admit card' button.
• Enter the correct username, password, and security code, then click 'login'.
• On the screen, the admit card will be displayed. Save the soft copy and print a copy for future reference.

Candidates will be able to download the results of SOFT CET 2025 from the official website. Applicants must log in using their registered email addresses or mobile phone numbers to access the results. Along with the SOFT CET result 2025 will be released in the form of a merit list on June 11. 

How to Check the SOFT CET 2025 Results? 

• Log in to the SOFT, Pune official website.
• Continue and look for the 'Result' Section.
• Enter Login details like email id and phone number and click the Submit button.
• The results of the common entrance examination will be available online. Make a copy for yourself as a backup.

The School of Fashion Technology (SOFT) in Pune will release the merit list of candidates state-wise. For undergraduate courses, candidates are required to submit a scanned copy of their Class 12th results. For postgraduate courses, candidates need to provide a copy of both their Class 12th and graduation mark sheets.

Counselling will begin immediately after the results are announced. Candidates who pass the Common Entrance Examination will be eligible to take the SOFT CET 2025 counselling.

• Following the announcement of the results, the SOFT CET authority will publish a list of Merit Rank Holders who must report to the institute on a specific date with the required documents.
• The authority will begin providing counselling tentatively in the last week of June 2025.
• All candidates who wish to be admitted to the institute must send a confirmation email to admission@soft.ac.in with a CC to admin@soft.ac.in, failing which the seat will be automatically given to the waitlisted candidate.
• Following receipt of the confirmation email, applicants will be called in to complete the admission procedure in accordance with the academic calendar posted on the official website.
• Candidates must report to the institute with all required documents and certificates. The organizing body will verify these documents and certificates.
• They must then pay the tuition fees associated with their courses.
