The IIT Bombay CEED cutoff 2024 is determined by certain parameters. The CEED 2024 cut off mark for Part A is the minimum mark students need to secure to qualify for Part A. Note that CEED Part B cutoff 2024 was evaluated only if the candidate had qualified for Part A.
Aspiring students are required to secure a minimum CEED rank for IIT Bombay and other IIT campuses to gain M.Des admission at Kanpur, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Delhi, Roorkee, IIITDM Jabalpur, and IISc Bangalore.
The CEED 2024 cut off is the minimum score that candidates need to qualify for the next stage of the admission process. The cutoff varies depending on the programme, category, and institute of the candidates. The CEED exam comprises of two parts: Part A and Part B. Part A is a computer-based test that evaluates the candidates’ design aptitude and analytical skills. Part B is a pen-and-paper test that assesses the candidates’ drawing, creativity, and communication skills. The question paper for CEED 2024 consisted of two parts - Part A and Part B.
The first part of CEED i.e. Part A is a computer-based test that evaluates the candidates’ design aptitude and analytical skills. Only the candidates who score above the Part A cutoff are shortlisted for Part B evaluation.
Part B is a pen-and-paper test that assesses the candidates’ drawing, creativity, and communication skills. The final CEED score is calculated based on the marks obtained in Part B only.
Based on the score of Part B the concerned authority prepared the CEED merit list 2024 which includes both the opening and closing ranks of the candidates who qualified for the CEED counselling stage.
The closing rank was the cutoff of CEED 2024.
Each participating institute had a different cutoff.
The correlation between CEED marks and rank is a critical factor in determining a candidate’s admission into a design program. Higher CEED marks usually translate to a lower rank, increasing the chances of securing a seat in a preferred institute. Therefore, the candidates have to obtain good marks and CEED rank for IIT Bombay admission and into other participating institutes.
CEED part B will be evaluated manually for the candidates who qualify for part A. CEED part B contains a subjective question and there are no model solutions for the same. The minimum percentage is mentioned in the table below.

IIT Bombay released the CEED shortlisting criteria for 2024. The formula to calculate the CEED cutoff may change from the previous year. The expected formula to determine CEED shortlisting criteria is as follows: µ + (σ 2) = δ, where µ and σ are the average marks and standard deviation of the distribution of marks obtained by all the candidates in Part-A of CEED 2024.
The µ and σ will be rounded off after the first decimal place. The candidates belonging to the reserved categories shall have to fulfil a relaxed cut-off mark, which will be:
0.9? for OBC-NCL
0.9? for EWS
0.5? for SC/ST
0.5? for PwD
The shortlisting criteria for CEED 2024 announced by IIT Bombay, the conducting authority of CEED. IIT Bombay declared the CEED result in online mode. Aspirants could check the result of CEED 2024 by entering the required credentials in the login window. Aspirants could download the CEED 2024 scorecard from the official website of CEED. CEED scorecard 2024 is valid for one year from the date of the result declaration.
