If two or more candidates have the same marks in NIFT 2026 result, the following approach will be taken to determine the rank order among candidates:

• The candidates with higher marks in CAT will receive a higher rank.
• If the marks in CAT are also identical, the GAT marks will be compared.
• Should a tie persist even after comparing CAT and GAT, then marks obtained subject-wise in the following will be considered in the particular order: Communication Ability & English Comprehension, Quantitative Ability, Analytical & Logical Ability, General Knowledge, and Current Affairs.
