The authority announced the NID mains result for BDes on May 16, on the NID official website. The NID BDes seat allotment, payment of token fees and uploading of documents will be done from May 27 to 30, 2025. Candidates had to submit their campus preference in between May 16 to 19, 2025.

Candidates need to download the DAT results 2025 from the NID admission portal - admissions.nid.edu. The NID DAT 2025 results will be declared in the form of a merit list. Below are the steps provided to check the NID DAT result 2025 pdf for Prelims and Mains.

How to apply for NID DAT prelims/mains result 2025 rechecking/re-evaluation?

The students could request for the rechecking of the NID DAT mains answer sheet in online mode only at admissions.nid.edu. Candidates could request for recheck of DAT Mains for BDes and MDes as per the schedule released. The candidates were to pay Rs. 2000/- as the fees for rechecking DAT Mains paper.

The rechecking will be done only for the following:

• Whether all the answers will have been marked and provided with scores.
• Whether there has been any mistake in marks totalling of each question in part-II of the answer sheet/booklet and transferring the marks correctly on to the first cover page of the answer booklet.
• No other re-evaluation of the answer script or other exam work by the students will be rechecked.
• Students or organisation cannot ask for re-evaluation, disclosure, or inspection of the answer booklet or copies of the same and other documents as they are considered as confidential by the NID Admission Committee.
• On rechecking the answer booklet, if there is any error found, the marks will be added accordingly.
• The candidates will receive an email to the registered email address only if there is any communication regarding the revision of marks.
• The institute will not take any responsibility for any loss, or damage or any inconvenience caused to the student due to change in marks and no other claims in this regard shall be entertained. The revised score after re-evaluation will be considered as the final result.
• Candidates need to upload a scanned copy of their NID admit card duly signed by the invigilator and there must be a test centre seal.
• Rechecking requests will not be accepted through email and have to be submitted only through the NID official website.
• The details about ‘Submission of rechecking request’ will be made available on the official website based on the schedule.

NID released the NID DAT tie-breaking policy through the official brochure. The NID DAT tie breaking policy is used when two or more candidates obtain the same marks in NID DAT 2025 results. Candidates can check the NID DAT tie-breaking rule given as below.

If the total marks scored by two or more candidates are same, the following tie-break policy will be used to allot the ranks to the students:

• Higher rank will be assigned to the candidate who has obtained the higher marks in Part B of the DAT Prelims.
• If this does not break the tie, higher rank will be assigned to the candidate who has obtained higher marks in Part A of the DAT Prelims.
• If this still does not break the tie, then both the candidates will be assigned the same rank.

NID DAT B.Des Mains (Final) Result 2025: Tie-Break Policy

If in case the total marks scored by two or more candidates are the same, the following tiebreak policy will be used for awarding ranks in the final merit list:

• Higher rank will be assigned to the candidate who has obtained higher marks in DAT Mains.
• If this does not break the tie, higher rank will be assigned to the candidate who has obtained higher marks in Stage 1 Design Aptitude Test.
• Still if this does not break the tie, then the higher rank will be assigned to the candidate who has obtained higher marks in Stage 1 Design Aptitude Test Part B.
• Still if this does not break the tie, then higher rank will be assigned to the candidate who has obtained higher marks in Stage 1 Design Aptitude Test Part A.
• If this still does not break the tie, then higher rank will be assigned to the candidate who has obtained higher marks in the question of DAT Mains exam which carries maximum marks.

NID DAT M.Des Prelims Result 2025: Tie-Break Policy

If the total marks scored by two or more candidates are the same, the following tie-break policy will be used to allot the ranks to the students:

• Higher rank will be assigned to the candidate who has obtained the higher marks in DAT Prelims (Part II / Part III).
• If this does not break the tie, higher rank will be assigned to the candidate who has obtained higher marks in DAT Prelims - Part I.
• If this still does not break the tie, then both the candidates will be assigned the same rank.

NID DAT M.Des Mains (Final) Result 2025: Tie-Break Policy

If in case the total marks scored by two or more candidates are the same, the following tiebreak policy will be used for awarding ranks in the final merit list:

• Higher rank will be assigned to the candidate who has obtained higher marks in DAT Mains.
• If this does not break the tie, higher rank will be assigned to the candidate who has obtained higher marks in DAT Mains - Studio Test.
• Still if this does not break the tie, then the higher rank will be assigned to the candidate who has obtained higher marks in the DAT Prelims.

The National Institute of Design released NID DAT result 2025 pdf's as two merit lists for the NID DAT exam 2025.
