NIFT 2026 Exam Timings
The NIFT exam consists of two components - GAT and CAT. Candidates have to appear for one or both, depending upon the programme in which they wish to seek admission. NIFT 2026 Notification Date
NIFT will release the NIFT notification 2026 online tentatively in November 2025. The NIFT 2026 notification will contain all details about the exam, including the schedule, important instructions and guidelines, participating institutes, and more.
NIFT Application Form 2026 Date
NTA will open the NIFT 2026 application form in the fourth week of November 2026. Aspirants seeking admission into NIFT design programmes will be required to register and submit the application form online at the official website - nift.ac.in before the prescribed deadline. The candidates have to make payment as per the fee specified for different categories and upload the required documents to complete the NIFT 2026 registration.
NIFT 2026 Application Form Correction Date
The authorities provide dates for making corrections to the application form. The candidates who wish to make any changes to the application form can use this correction window to update the correct information. No changes will be allowed after the correction window closure.
NIFT 2026 City Intimation Slip Release Date
NTA will release the NIFT 2026 city intimation slip online tentatively ten days before the exam. The advance city intimation slip of NIFT 2026 includes details about the city where the candidate's allotted exam centre is located. The NIFT city intimation slip is different from the admit card.
NIFT 2026 Admit Card Date
NTA will issue the NIFT admit card 2026 one week before the exam on its official website. The registered candidates can download the NIFT 2026 admit card using their login credentials. The admit card of NIFT 2026 is a mandatory document for the exam.
NIFT Exam Date 2026
NTA will conduct the NIFT entrance examination 2026 tentatively in the second week of February 2026. The NIFT entrance test will be conducted as the CAT (Creative Ability Test) and GAT (General Ability Test). Candidates preparing for the entrance exam were advised to check the NIFT syllabus as per the programme they have applied for.

NIFT Answer Key 2026 Date
NTA will release the provisional NIFT 2026 answer key tentatively one week after the exam. The provisional answer key helps the candidates to check and compare the answers they have marked in the exam. Candidates will also be allowed to raise objections against the answer key within the specified dates after payment of the objection fee per question
After considering the objections, the authorities will release the NIFT 2026 final answer key. The result of NIFT entrance exam will be prepared as per the final answer key.
NIFT 2026 Result Date
NTA will declare the NIFT 2026 result separately for different programmes. Candidates can check the NIFT 2026 results online with their login credentials. Candidates shortlisted in the NIFT result 2026 will be called to participate in the next round which will be a situation test or an interview.
NIFT Second Round 2026 Dates
The candidates who are shortlisted from the NIFT entrance exam 2026 will be eligible for the second round. NTA will announce the NIFT 2026 situation test date on its official website. The NIFT situation test 2026 will be conducted tentatively in May/June 2026.
The authorities will release the NIFT 2026 situation test admit card tentatively one week before the exam, which is a mandatory document to attend the situation test. Candidates can download the admit card of the NIFT situation test through their login.

NIFT 2026 Final Result Date
The NIFT final result 2026 will be declared tentatively in the fourth week of June 2026. The NIFT 2026 final result will be declared as the marks obtained by the candidate in the NIFT entrance exam and the NIFT situation test weightage. Shortlisted candidates in the final result of NIFT 2026 will be eligible to take part in the counselling process.
NIFT 2026 Counselling Date
