The NIFT 2026 entrance exam result will be declared tentatively in April 2026. Candidates can check the result through their login. Soon after the NIFT exam result is declared, the authorities will notify the NIFT 2026 situation test/ interview dates. NIFT 2026 Situation Test

After the NIFT 2026 exam result is declared, candidates will be called to attend the situation test or personal interview. The NIFT situation test weightage varies for different courses. The NIFT situation test is conducted to assess the candidates’ innovative ability, problem-solving, and understanding ability to design the concept/model with the given set of materials. Additional material is not provided. The test evaluation is done on the spot by the Jury.

Instructions to the candidates before giving the NIFT 2026 Situation Test

Please follow the instructions and remember these points to complete the situation test, which was conducted after the NIFT results 2026, in a better and faster way.

• Only a set of certain materials are provided to the candidates. There is no additional material to be issued.
• The candidate has to explain the model creation in writing with clear explanations within the specified time.
• The write-up explanation has to be in the English language. Marks were provided if the explanation was written in other languages.
• The usage of outside materials was not allowed in the test centre.
• The candidate was not allowed to mention their identity details on the test paper to avoid disqualification.
• The candidate had to complete the test within the specified time.

NIFT 2026 Personal Interview (PI)

What after the Results of the NIFT 2026 Selection Rounds?

After the entrance exam, the situation test, and personal interview rounds are done, the authorities will declare the final result of NIFT 2026. After the results of the NIFT 2026 selection rounds, candidates have to attend the NIFT counselling process to obtain seat allotment.

NIFT 2026 Counselling & Seat Allocation

As part of the NIFT 2026 counselling process, candidates will be required to complete counselling registration and provide their NIFT campus preferences. The NIFT Seat allotment will be published based on the candidate's rank and the preferences submitted by them. There will be multiple rounds of seat allotment as decided by the authorities.

The seat allotment process consists of the following steps.
