How Much Marks Are Required for NIFT Delhi 2026?
Getting into the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Delhi is quite competitive, especially for popular undergraduate (UG) programs such as B.Des Fashion Design, B.F.Tech (Apparel Production), and Fashion Communication. Admission to NIFT Delhi is based on a merit list compiled from the NIFT entrance exam, which includes the GAT (General Ability Test), CAT (Creativity Ability Test), and NIFT Situation Test (for design program). NIFT Delhi final selection depends on the overall scores, which will be converted into a Common Merit Rank (CMR).
How Much Marks Required for NIFT Delhi?
Since NIFT doesn’t officially publish the cutoff marks, they only release ranks; candidates usually interpret cutoff gaps based on NIFT rank and exam difficulty level. Going by trends, NIFT scores roughly 70 to 80+ marks (out of the total marks) in the GAT, CAT and Situation Test often trends towards top ranks, but this varies year to year. NIFT Delhi B.Des Programs (General): Expected NIFT Delhi closing ranks may range roughly 1 to 150, with top streams like Fashion Design & Fashion Communication at the tighter end (close to 1 to 100).
NIFT Delhi B.F.Tech (Apparel Production): Expected rank to close within around 1 to 200 for top seats.
Those who are aiming to take admission into NIFT Delhi, they should focus equally on the GAT and CAT section including the situation test. Also aim for a CMR well under 200 for a realistic chance at NIFT Delhi’s core UG programs.
