About UCEED Entrance Exam

Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED) is a national level exam conducted by Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay once in a year for the undergraduate students. UCEED Eligibility Criteria 2026

It is important for the candidates to check the UCEED 2026 eligibility criteria before applying for the entrance exam. A candidate, including a foreign national, must simultaneously fulfil every one of the following three UCEED exam eligibility criteria.

• Criterion 1- Age limit:

  • Candidates belonging to the OPEN/EWS/OBC-NCL category should have been born on or after October 1, 2001, candidates belonging to the SC, ST or PwD category. Should have been born on or after October 1, 1996.

• Criterion 2- Number of attempts:

  • A candidate can attempt UCEED a maximum of two times, and that too in consecutive years.

  • Note that the UCEED score is valid for one year and only for admissions in the same corresponding academic year.

• Criterion 3- Qualifying examination:

  • A candidate should have appeared for the Class 12 or equivalent examination for the first time in either 2025 OR 2026 to be eligible for attempting UCEED 2026.

  • Students from any stream (Science, Commerce, and Arts & Humanities) are eligible.

  • Those who appeared for the first time in their qualifying examination Class 12 in 2025 or earlier will not be eligible to appear in UCEED 2026.

UCEED Application Form 2026

IIT Bombay will release the UCEED 2026 registration form on its official website- uceed.iitb.ac.in. Before filling out the application form candidates should check the UCEED 2026 eligibility criteria so as not to face any disqualification. Below are the steps to fill out the UCEED registration form 2026:

• Visit the official website - uceed.iitb.ac.in

• Click on the registration link

• Fill in the required information such as name, mobile number, email address

• Click on the submit button

• Go to the UCEED 2026 application form link and enter the login credentials

• Fill in required details such as

  • Candidate's name

  • Father’s name

  • Mother’s name

  • Mobile number

  • Email ID

  • Gender

  • Date of birth

  • Communication address

  • Academic details

  • Nationality

• Select the UCEED 2026 exam centre

• Upload the scanned photograph

• Upload the documents required

• Pay the UCEED registration fee as per category and click on submit

Note: Applicants have to pay Rs. 500 as a late fee if they are registering after the application closing date.
