    NIFT 2026 Acceptance Rate: Check Category-Wise NIFT Seat Acceptance Rate

    NIFT 2026 acceptance rate will be available after the admission process. In the meantime, aspirants can check the NIFT acceptance rate for previous years. NIFT acceptance rate is determined on the basis of number of candidates registered for NIFT 2026 and total number of seats filled. The NIFT acceptance rate provides an idea of the level of competition in the NIFT entrance exam and estimate their chances of NIFT admission. Candidates have to appear for GAT and CAT components of the entrance exam depending on the courses they have applied to. As per details available for NIFT entrance exam for the year 2025, the total number of registered candidates were 33, 877 for GAT & GAT and the total number of candidates appeared for the test were 31,061.

    The seats at NIFT campuses will be filled through the NIFT counselling process conducted in multiple rounds. The seats are offered for various courses that include B.Des, M.Des, B.FTech, M.FTech and MFM.

    NIFT Acceptance Rate 2021

    The NIFT acceptance rate for the year 2021 was 19%. A total of 4693 seats were offered for NIFT admission in UG & PG programs across 17 NIFT campuses. Over 20242 candidates registered for admission, out of which, only 3777 (Regular, State Domicile and NRI) candidates were offered seats based on their merit rank.

    In the year 2020, the total number of students registered for the NIFT entrance exam were 26,604, out of which only 3810 were offered seats. Accordingly, the NIFT acceptance rate in 2020 was 14%.
