The NIFT BFTech 2026 syllabus is part of the broader NIFT syllabus 2026, which is prescribed for NIFT admission into various programmes. The syllabus of B.F.Tech 2026 includes the NIFT GAT syllabus 2026, which carries 100% weightage in the selection process. Candidates appearing in the NIFT entrance exam for B.FTech must appear for both parts - Section A and B, of the General Ability Test. The syllabus for NIFT B.FTech 2026 does not include the NIFT CAT component. The NIFT B.FTech syllabus may also include questions from the engineering field as only candidates with mathematics as a subject in their class 12 are eligible for the course. NIFT BFTech Syllabus 2026 Section-Wise Topics
Given below are the important topics in each of the sections in the NIFT BFTech syllabus 2026:
- Quantitative Ability (QA): QA is conducted to test the candidate’s quantitative ability. This topic consists of questions on Addition, Multiplication, Division, Fractions, Percentage, Rate of Interest, Work and Task, Ratio and Proportion and Distance.
- Communication Ability and English Comprehension: The day-to-day communication ability in English is tested here. The section includes the questions on synonyms & antonyms, words with corresponding meanings, singular & plural, one word substitutes, idioms & phrases, correct spellings, comprehending a situation from a given passage, etc.
- Analytical Ability and Logical Ability: This test is designed to find out the candidate’s inference capacity and logic from the given information. Also, to test the candidate’s ability to identify the given problem and provide a reasonable solution to it. Practising the concepts of creative and lateral thinking will be more helpful for the exam.
- General Knowledge and Current Affairs: Candidate’s will be tested on their general knowledge and approach towards current affairs.
- Case Study: Situation-based on an industrial environment that tests a candidate's managerial ability.
