NTA conducted NIFT 2026 on February 8, 2026. All programmes in the NIFT exam except B.FTech, which have a second round in the selection process. Only shortlisted candidates in the NIFT 2026 first round will be eligible to appear for the second round.

What After NIFT Prelims Result 2026?

After the announcement of NIFT 2026 first round result, the qualified candidates have to appear for the second round which is also known as a situation test. The shortlisted candidates in the NIFT exam for B.Des program will have to appear for the NIFT situation test, which carries a 20% weightage in the final selection process. At the time of the NIFT situation test, the candidates are required to create a particular model from the provided set of material.

The NIFT stage for PG programmes includes an interview round, which carries a total weightage of 30% in the final selection process. The NIFT PG interview evaluates candidates' communication skills, design aptitude, logical and lateral thinking, and suitability for the chosen course.
